It’s so easy to be dismissive of the concept of having fun in our business but maybe, just maybe, it’s more important than we realise. There’s no doubt that over time it’s very easy for a business to lose it’s fun feel, for things to become heavier and basically for everyone, including the customers, to stop having a good time. Does it really matter? Shouldn’t business be a serious thing? Hell no! It is after all, only business.

You know that we love a good laugh, and we are both constantly trying to outdo each other in the “who is funnier stakes - (we know it’s Andrew right)”, but the reality is that we both understand how important have a serious fun element to any small business can be.

But what do you do if you’ve lost that fun feeling? Can you get it back? Want some really practical ideas? The best move you can take is to grab a strong cup of coffee, get comfortable and tune into this episode of the Business Over Breakfast show for a good laugh and plenty of ideas on how you can bring the fun back to your business today.

What fears are holding you back in life and in business?

According to self development icon, Dale Carnegie, ninety percent of what we worry about never happens. Even though he offered that advice a very long time ago, he has a point. But that doesn’t make the fears that hold us back any less relevant or any less powerful.

In this episode of the Business Over Breakfast Show, we share some of the most common fears holding us back in business and of course, we offer advice on what we can do about these fears.

And in our “Food For Thought” segment we talk about an innovation that lets people wear clothes for a month without washing them (ewwwwww), a boat made entirely from recycled plastic and whilst we are on the recycling platform, a very cool company in Sri Lanka has found a use for discarded flowers.
